FairPay helps you split receipts fairly while collecting only the data needed to run the app.

Who We Are
FairPay is a mobile app that scans receipts, extracts line items, and helps groups split bills including tax and tip. For privacy questions, contact fairpay-support@nimtech.xyz.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you create or use a FairPay account, we collect authentication information such as your email address and sign-in provider identifiers. If you use Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, those providers may share basic account identifiers needed to authenticate you.
Receipt images and extracted text
When you scan a receipt, FairPay sends the receipt image or images to our backend so text can be extracted and turned into bill items. Receipt images may include restaurant names, transaction details, item names, prices, tax, tip, and other text visible on the receipt.
Split data you enter
You may enter names, edit line items, assign items to people, and adjust tax or tip. This split data is used to calculate totals and produce share text. The current app stores this bill-splitting state locally on your device during use.
Usage and security metadata
We record limited usage metadata, such as a user identifier and timestamp for receipt-processing attempts, to enforce daily and monthly OCR limits, prevent abuse, and operate the service.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include in the message, such as screenshots, device details, or a description of the problem.
How We Use Information
- To authenticate your account and keep you signed in securely.
- To process receipt images and extract item, tax, and tip information.
- To calculate each person's fair share of a bill.
- To enforce rate limits, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and keep the service reliable.
- To respond to support requests and improve the app.
Service Providers
FairPay relies on third-party service providers to operate core app features:
- Supabase for authentication, backend functions, and database services.
- Google Gemini / Google AI services for receipt text extraction.
- Google Sign-In, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Apple Sign-In, if you choose to sign in with Apple.
- Apple App Store and Google Play for app distribution, crash reporting or diagnostics provided by the platform, and purchase-related platform operations if applicable.
These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate FairPay, when required by law, to protect FairPay or users from abuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
When you use the Summary screen's share feature, FairPay opens your device's native share sheet. You choose the recipient and app. The shared split summary is controlled by you and by the app or service you choose to send it through.
Retention
Receipt images are used to perform OCR and are not retained for analytics or marketing. Account records are kept while your account is active. Usage metadata may be retained as needed for rate limiting, fraud prevention, security, and service reliability. Support emails are retained as long as reasonably needed to respond and keep support records.
Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your FairPay account and associated data by emailing fairpay-support@nimtech.xyz from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my FairPay account."
We will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days, typically much sooner. Some limited records may be retained if necessary for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or resolving disputes.
Children's Privacy
FairPay is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to FairPay, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including provider-managed authentication and server-side processing for OCR. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as FairPay changes. If the changes are material, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice in the app or on this page.
